Our tow aircraft is out of service due to an engine failure.
We expect to only offer minimal flights for a month or two using our sole private motor glider.
The engine failure was unexpected and will be expensive to fix but it will be fixed and put back into service as soon as possible.
We hope to send the engine off to a service agent on the mainland next week and then it is just a matter of waiting until it is returned.
For members, we will take advantage of the tow aircraft being out of service by bringing all the annual aircraft maintenance forward to August so please help where you can. We have at least 5 aircraft which we hope to undertake an annual service (or Form 2) which will give us a clear run over Spring, Summer and Autumn
